Karen completed her undergraduate studies with a concentration in Molecular Cell Physiology, providing her with a deep understanding of biological systems essential to her role as a healthcare provider.
Karen’s clinical career began in the Emergency Room at Jersey City’s Christ Hospital and Hoboken University Medical Center, where she spent 10 years honing her skills in acute and emergency care. This high-pressure environment equipped her with the ability to make quick, accurate decisions and manage critical medical situations effectively.
In 2020, Karen transitioned to Urgent Care in Central Jersey, expanding her expertise in Primary Care. This shift allowed her to build deeper relationships with patients and provide comprehensive, ongoing care. Her work in urgent care gave her valuable experience across a broad spectrum of patient concerns, from acute illnesses to chronic conditions.
Currently, Karen is focusing her practice on Endocrinology, where she is excited to further develop her skills in managing complex endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, and metabolic issues. Her dedication to this field reflects her commitment to helping patients improve their quality of life through personalized and specialized care.
Karen Edgecomb believes in a patient-centered approach, where healthcare is tailored to the unique needs of each individual. She emphasizes clear communication, evidence-based practice, and building trusting relationships with her patients to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Outside the office, Karen is a dedicated wife and mother of three young children, along with their beloved Yorkie. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, and when time allows, she loves indulging in crafting, baking, and catching up on her favorite Netflix shows.
